speeding tickets

on my way to the Donnie Smith bike show today i got stopped doing 77 in a 55 $221 fine. just wondering what kind of speeding tickets others have gotten. a plus though i got an upper fairing a tail fairing undertail and rear subframe for $50 at the swap meet.

142 km in an 80km zone, turned around talking to my wife at the time. 50km over is an automatic dangerous driving charge and a criminal record to go with it. They thanked me for stopping, gave me ticket for 49km over, paid a $113 fine and drove away. This was in 1985. A warning...If you show up in Ontario Canada now and get caught 50km over the limit, they take your vehicle for a week, suspend your licence on the spot and you're looking at a minimum of $2000....Screw it try and catch me,lol

yeah a buddy of mine just last week got busted for "street racing" 167km/h on highway 401 (posted 100km/h). bike impounded for 1 week, license suspended for 1 week... court in june... cost $900 to release the bike from the impound, $1000 for the lawyer... and the minimum charge of $2000 for the ticket. he was not happy.

As for myself.. I have been riding my R1 for 3 years with no tickets... second day on my Lightning I get a ticket for 65km/h in a 50km/h zone... $53 fine. well I was doing 70 but he lowered it... and to boot it was on a industrial service road! stupid beginning of the season crap!

its also illegal in ontario for a police officer to engage in a highspeed chase. but unfortunately in some cases 2-way radios are faster than bikes..

200km/h in a 50km/h construction zone. I stopped quickly and had the papers ready. I got a standard speeding fine ($ 167.00) and a 'smarten up' speech. I was thankful.. BC is generally not that tolerant towards 'street racers'.
This was on the trans-canada highway and I considered myself lucky to get off with a speeding fine instead of 'dangerous driving', losing my bike, and an even more substantial fine..

Got pulled over by the local cop just so he could say: "Everytime I see this bike, I always try to look for a reason to pull you over just to get a close look at it.....NICE BIKE!"
It was awesome!!

Only been pulled over once, doing 80 in a 55. but got off cause the cop didn't show up in court [cool]
