Speedo Issue

The last few times I have ridden my speedometer likes to randomly work. The needle will max out when I turn the key but when I take off she just sits at zero. I have to shut off the bike and re-start and she is back to life. Anyone experience this?

The only mod to the speedo is an XB dash

I think the Ss swingarm is the problem, give it to me and it will cure your problem.

I have no idea maybe your speed sensor is going bad.

I have found a couple but cant bring myself to pay for them, im not sure I want to do it. Same goes for the Lightning tail.

Had that problem on a sportster, it was a speedometer sensor pick-up. Very intermittent and and easy fix.

I think HD sells the part for like $60 or so, should just be a speedo sensor. The part is fairly easy to fix too.

Im having that same issue. Happened after i replaced my dashboard. Anyone have a part#?

Today while i was out riding, i was going through town and the speedo was working just fine, then it would start "bouncing" up and down between 30-50mph when i would down shift. it wont really register anything over 40mph accurately though. would this be a sensor or cable problem?
