speedo?

Got new tires. After 100 miles my speedometer stops at 40. I don't even no where to begin. Worked fine before. What do I look for? Any help is appreciated.

Mine did that once last year, after getting new tires I believe. I jiggled the cable a bit and it hasn't happened since. Might not be your solution but it worked for me.

My Speedo. Everything works on it put the milage does not move up. Trip odo works, speed works, why won't my millege move? Help!!!
