Hi - I have an intermittent fault with my speedometer on my city x. When I start the bike in the morning the speedometer does'nt go through the usual procedure of fliping around the dial and back again. it takes about 10mins of riding before it actually starts working. Any ideas what could be causing this? At the moment im putting it down to a dry-joint in the electics, but want to be sure before I start taking things apart.

thanks in advance - Andy

Check your multi-pin connection at the speedometer. If it was a bad speed sensor, it should set a DTC and illuminate the MIL. It sounds like a poor connection between the ECU and the speedometer assembly, which are few. If not, it's most likely a faulty speedo unit.
