Split in the tire

Ok, how's this for ******...3400 Kms, about 2100-2200 miles on brand new Diablo's on a brand new 08 Firebolt. There's a split in the center tread about 6 inches long. Follows the kinda "z" pattern right down the center of the tire. Not a chance in hell it's caused by road damage but the Stealership tells me I didn't buy extended coverage on the tires so I'm **** outta luck. As I read it the warranty says I should be covered except for "normal wear and tear".The tire is coming apart after 3400 km and that's considered normal? [mad] ********!! Oh and I forgot to mention, the ******* kickstand fell off today!!! Apparently tightening the almost impossible to get at kickstand bolts is considered "regular maintainance" Sorry for the long post but the wife is getting tired of me ranting!! Wayne[mad]

That's the kind of **** that will make you want to get another bike from another dealership that actually cares. I've been there, especially since it's not a "Harley" my dealer looks at me funny.

This is definitely the place to rant. Let it out.

Hahah try pulling into a Harley dealer on a Kawasaki during a ralley. I'm set on buying a XB12R but my greatest fear is what kind of service will I get once the deal is done.

Ditto. Went into a HD / Buell Dealer. Wanted to check out the Buells, as I was in the buy mode. Jeck salesman could bearly talk to me. They had three new Buells never sold from two years earlier. Since they were already two years old in my mind, I thought ok he wants to sell them at a decent discount. Wrong, he said he could do $500.00 off sticker, and said he didn't care to sell Buells, and only had to carry them because of a HD thing. Well guess what Folsom HD will never get a penny from me.. Guess it would have been different if I was looking at a Bagger. Love my 06 City Cross with mods.

Update time... Teh dealer sent pic's to Deely H-D ( distributor for H-D Buell in Canada) They completly covered the tire and install under warranty. Big thanks to Jacox Harley-Buell in Mississauga Ontario. Wayne[up][up]
