Really kicking myself for not trying to catch some information from him. The Buell community is small so I get pretty excited when I see another one. This is also the first time I've seen another Buell while commuting on mine.

I also know that there are a couple red 1125R's in the Dallas area. I've seen one in Plano and the other (if it wasn't the same one) at the Progressive IMS at the convention center.

I'm hoping that I will have my black 1125R down there in the next couple of months... but not yet. I dont know if you remember me Silverado, but I told you a while back that my wife and I were trying to move down there. You gave me some contact info for a lady who worked with your friend...Still no luck, but hopefully soon.

My wife is about 4 weeks away from having a baby, so I have put the hunt for a job on the side burner until everything is done. Is there any good riding down there?

Hey agfish18, I do remember, and was wondering the other day how things were going. Sounds like things are going to be getting busy on your end. You all expecting a boy or a girl? And hopefully the job situation will work out soon as well.

As for riding... we've got lots of highway. Actually, there are a few good routes around the area. Depending on where you are located you might have to be willing to ride a little bit to get to them. [up]

It has been a very busy year in general. I pretty much have been through nearly every major life event in the last 6 months lol. Graduated from college, married, sold my first house, planning for the baby (a boy by the way). and now moving out of state if all works as planned.

New Mexico has plenty of nice roads, especially Northern NM. Right now I have access to some of the nicer twisty roads within 15-20 minutes of my front door... which is why I have put 30K miles on my bike in the last 3 years. Anyway, I have been to Dallas a few times, but not on the bike. It just didnt seem to have much in the way of twisty roads locally, but I AM willing to ride out a bit to find them. :)

Anyway, Hopefully in the next few weeks I can get to job hunting again. I stopped because I didnt want to take a chance of not being able to be here for the baby's birth, but its on again once he is here.

First off, congratulations! Hope all goes well for you, your wife and the little guy. Also, way to go on putting family first. I applaud you for that. And that is quite a lot to go through in a years time.

As for the riding, I know a lot of guys in this area who would be thrilled if there were some good twisty roads within 15-20 minutes. The routes we do have around my neck of the woods take a little while to get to, but I usually make several passes on them before I get back on the highway for home.

How many miles are on your 1125R?
