SPOTTED THREAD: Pittsburgh/WPa; all Buell models

50- you couldn't have said it better and I was hesitant to breech the subject. I've been to two bike nights in two years. I really don't get it.

Moreover, I like (in my own mind, at least) like to think Buell guys are really "riders" because of the awesome capabilities our bikes have (canyon carving, offroad (ULY, TT), touring, racing, etc). However, the PGH "spotted" thread turned into more of a "local bike night - are you going thread?" (I was the OP of the thread) and really got disappointed that maybe Buellers are more the bike night-types (at least maybe here in WPa).

It's a shame we don't see more Buells out riding on the roads...especially the back roads. I know that there aren't as many Buells as HD's or Kawasakis on the road and probably one of the reasons a lot of us like Buells is their rarity. But, it would sure be nice to see more riders really out doing 100, 150, 200+ mile days into the wilds of WV, OH and Northwest PA. Every chance I get (which is only about 2-3 times a month) I head as far away from town as I can. I even usually just pack a bottle of water and a few powerbars so I can get as much ride time in as possible (I don't like to stop unless for gas).

Maybe I'm crazy. But I do appreciate you bringing the point up.

If you haven't ventured up franklin road from evans city and followed it onto 528 up to slippery rock i would highly recommend it. It is a challenging fun twisty ride and the upper section has pretty fresh pavement. I plan on taking a trip or two up there very soon before the leaves start falling because it makes this trip very dangerous.

Well said Willie! [up] We should get the "Burgh Buellers" (and friends) together for a ride before too long! You're in Ellwood City right WillieP? I just have to find a good weekend to do it...

I usually only post about bike nights to see if some of the fellow buellers on here are going to meet with them and shoot the shit. PS franklin road is a no go now. They tar and chipped it all the way to 68 :( i probably wont ride it until next year

This saddens me [sad] My new job has me driving Franklin Rd for a short distance. It's not too bad but I'm not about to ride it hard for a while (that's what she said :p )
