Do you guys know of a really good resource Buell XB stand options? I got frustrated trying to find a way to make my Pit Bull stand work on the rear swing arm and ended up going this route (see picture below). My preference would be a stand(s) that allow me to easily raise the front/rear and be able to remove each wheel and do oil changes.

Don't the Pit Bull stands have reversible lift points to be able to lift under the swing-arm or spools like the ones we sell on our axle sliders?

For the front, your best bet is a yoke style lift since the forks on our Buells are different lengths.

The OEM muffler has lift points on it as well but I haven't personally used them to lift the bike...

Good luck!

Get some spool shaped 5-0Dro axles sliders, they work with every
stand I tried (Pit-Bull, Puig & Valter Motor) and are top quality too!

Here's a picture of them with my Valter Motor race stand:

I took some 2x4 and made a square the sat on me small lift. I then cut out the front and rear pieces to match the shape of the stock muffler. I then slide this under the bike and lift. Be sure once you get the bike lifted to the height you want to put a couple of straps to the lift. If you get pulling to hard on something the bike will tilt on the lift.

I run the t-rex stands front and rear. the t-rex front stand gives you two options for the front. 1st is lifting by the bottom forks and the other lifts from the neck of the frame. great stands for the price.

Thanks for the plug Ben! [up]

Those are definitely nice stands and will work nicely I'm sure. That dolly idea is pretty cool too. You may want to do both?

Please see our site if you decide to try our sliders in conjunction with the lifts. We offer forum discounts too! ;)

Ahhh mang! You guys keep this guy in the right direction! He has my old love! I'll check in when I can and I'll see you guys again as soon as one of the new 1190's are released and in my garage!

Signing off!

GPI industries. I have had them a while now. They were recommended by another user on the forum. They are great! Worth their weight in gold! -Baja

+1 for T-Rex

Actually that was my first ever post online regarding my Buell..
I posted a thread on BadWeB for those stands...

I did have to chop my pin for the neck lift. about an 1/4 of an inch. it was kinda binding when taking the stand out from the front. but a quick cut off wheel job and all is perfect.

I'm prob over thinking once again but if u have the wide tire kit (240) do u need to get wider rear stands to get the tire on and off? Or it's just fine with the reg size stand?

It's hard to find stands for Buells with the standard size rear tire. You'll have to get creative with a wider swing-arm.

T-Rex for sure! They are less money than the pit bulls but the quality is great. I use the rear stand for my ninja also. Both of my bikes have rear spools but you can use then without spools also.

I know there's different models of Pit Bull stands but mine worked great on my 09Ss. I spent too much but you can see and feel the quality.

evolD, no problem. The front stand can lift from the forks too, just cut a square of rubber or wood 2"x 2" and 1/2" thick for the short fork side. Works great! -Baja

FWIW - I bought the rear paddock stand from Cycle Gear yesterday - had to slighty spread it apart but works great now. They are on sale for $49.99.
