Starter skips a beat?

Hey everyone.

When I start my bike cold the starter turns over once... skips a beat and then turns over normally and the bike starts. If I start the bike when it's still hot I don't have this problem. It also resets all the electrical parts of the bike such as trip, clock fuel light etc. Seems very strange, I'm thinking that the battery doesn't have enough amperage but wasn't sure if anyone else is having this problem. I can post a video if anyone's curious.

I'd get your battery load tested from your symptoms you probably need a new one.

I tend to have these problems when it's a lot cooler out. It's the battery, more than likely. Lately it's been 50+ degrees - no issues.

Yeah I was hoping this wasn't the issue... Battery is new as of last year but it's a knock off from battery's plus... Has a two year warranty maybe I'll try to exchange it.
