There are several options...if under warranty, take to HD. This of course will not "fix" it, they will replace with the same parts. If looking for new parts to fix, you could look for an 08 stator/rotor or you could get the EBR fix, both are expensive.
There are a lot of guys having them rewound which seems to work if done properly. I found this guys how-to if you want to rewind it yourself.
