Im putting in a new stator. got the primary cover off and got the rear pulley nut off (it was a left hand thread).. now Im having a hell of a time getting the engine sprocket nut off ( should be a right hand thread as per manual) .. hitting the breaks does nothing.. and I cant keep anything jammed up in the sprockets to keep them locking into each other like said in the manual .... Impact wrench did nothing... how the f*ck did you guys get that nut off of there??

never mind guys... I sat back, smoked a cigarette, got my head cleared out and got that nut off of there on the first try... I just held the claw of a puller in there and turned the front sprocket and the sprockets jammed up perfectly and I got a good push on it. nut came off..

that stator that was in there was chewed up.. pulley bolts impacted the rivet in the wire clip.

My new stator is black... the bad stator has blue all over it.. think I got some kind updated stator or am I going to have to drill that rivet out???

The clip/rivet doesn't clear. There are a few threads in there about this including one of mine.

Just epoxy it in like the old stator. If you go back to Harley and complain they may ship you a one off, they did for me.

I think Harley gave me the wrong stator anyway.. Im looking at the electrical plug on the end and it only has two wires and two contacts... I think this is a 2 phase and not a 3 phase... will it matter?
