Stator issues maybe

I have been noticing a change in my voltage while riding.. I checking the stator today. and between 1-3 im getting 17.5 v at idle and at 4k 48v. between 1-2 15v at idle and at 4k 38v. 2-3 is 14v at idle and 15v at 4k.. Is this a stator on its way down or is this normal.. Im so pissed.. When I bought the bike I was told that the charging issues where all taken care of by the dealer.. glad I paid the extra for the 4 year warranty.. this should all be covered at their cost..

I don't have my manual in front of me to look up the expected values (because I'm travelling), but I'm pretty sure that whatever readings you have should be much closer to the same in all three spots.

Do you have a multi-meter? If so, here is how to do it...

Set the multu-meter to DVC 20.0
Check battery voltage (black lead to - post, red to + post) with bike off, should be 12.5-13.0
Start the bike, let it warm and rev to 2K RPM.
Check battery again same as before, voltage should be 14.2-14.6.

Anything higher than 14.6 indicates a problem.

I just installed a new regulator (OEM), stator and rotor because I was getting system voltage errors. All seems good now.
