To any 'long term' owners (1125R)- Is this Stator/Rotor issue something that is a 'one time' fix, or is this going to continure to be a problem ? Only have 3500 miles on the bike, for heaven's sake. Love the bike, & wanted to 'stay American' in the realm of 'rockets', but my pocketbook can't stand a lot of 'shop-time'. Also, i've read to go with an 08 replacement part (stator). What's the difference in 08 & 09 (my bike is 09) ? What can i expect to $ pay $ for a repair at the dealer ?

Count on a one time fix that will cost $150 for rewind ,$175 for rotor with core exchange,$15 for rotor nut, between $350 to $450 for labor. After that all said and done you will have a perfect kick ass bike!:D

Replace the rotor with an EBR one before it or the stator dies. If your a do it yourselfer you wont be out much and it will either save the stator or at least buy you some time.
