Sticky throttle?

So I installed my electronics on a new set of bars, and with a new set of grips. Also have a heated grip setup as well- when I roll back on the throttle, it doesn't snap back foreward, it just sort of lazily goes back. Anybody have any ideas? I imagine this is a pretty easy fix

Mine does it too... Probably the cable is dirty.

did you install the heated grips yourself from aftermarket kit? if so the grip wire is binding....the grip end is binding against the throttle tube housing....or grip inner sleeve binding against end of handlebar. check your work.

Mine does this as well, it irritates me. Anyone know how to fix this? Would spraying some WD40 down the line help?

Mine did that to. I cleaned the throttle body valve with carb cleaner, it had gunk on it. Then I sprayed very very little wd40 around the hinge of the valve. Worked for me.

Also try working with the throttle adjustments. Fixed my problem.

Mine was sticky too, so I stopped masturbating before I got on the bike and started doing after I got off. No more sticky throttle![up]

Put dry graphite on the forward cover where the cable guides through... if that makes sense. and make sure the cables are in properly. Just worked on mine

Try to lubricant, or clean and lubricant the wrist grip. Usually it gets sticky because there is some rubbershit between twist grip, or like on my case my handlebar weight is too close to my wrist grip.

Does your heated grips have open ends? If not, I would try to move the wrist grip out more.

Thanks mr nice guy, I'll definitely give all that a shot- what do you recommend using to lubricate? I imagine wd40 isn't what you had in mind haha

Almost all of them work, but stay away from sticky chain lubricants! I've used PTFE teflon spray, WD40, gunoil, dry chain PTFE oil... and so on. Not so much differences. On my ex bike I had a little bit of a grip glue somewhere between the throttle wrist grip, and I had to lubricate it and wank the throttle 100 000 times like a rabbit and it helped(I was lazy, and didn't want to remove those 2 screws holding the grip...).

Usually I spray some cleaning spray before lubricant.
