@d_adams need to save up some more.. But your pipes sure sound like a beast!!!

@crawfo no sweat... Hope someone comes along with the right stuff.

I have a nice carbon Jardine muffler only if you can find an elbow. It needs a repack and I have it apart for packing, just haven't packed it.

I have a clean aluminum Jardine RT1 that I need to sell. It only has a few hundred miles on it. PM me if you are interested. It has the torque recovery mod welded on it. I also have the quiet insert.

Here is mine, I also have the mounting bracket I forgot to put in the picture. No elbow from header to can. It was in fine working order on my bike, I took it off as I wanted to go with something different, I figured I would take it apart and repack it before I put it up for sale but never got around to doing it. $100 plus shipping.

I know but I live in Europe (Netherlands) I wish a had the money right now!!! But $540 is like 400 euros plus the shipping and tax that I have to pay! I'll be looking at 600 euro!!!!!!:(

How much will repacking the jardine and the tuning cost you besides the pipe itself?I have the gp1 jardine and i have to repack it every oil change or else it's annoyingly loud. The bike does not run right and rivets eventually start to get loose. If it wasn't for the bracket holding the exit pipe to bike the end cap would have fallen out. I would have saved for a keda,d&d,or a race pipe if i had known about the cons.Just my 2¢.good luck and a bump for you.

If you pack the Jardine with the right stuff it will last more than 5k. I put ASB steel wool with the blow out resistant pillow. I took it apart after 3k assuming it would need maintanence but all the packing was still in place aside from bieng tinted brown. The packing is quality stuff, and I would say over engineered.

IMO packing it with quality stuff is key for several reasons:
Sound - It will make for a nice deep boom out of the pipe.
Performance - It will help keep back pressure and maintain low end torque and even HP throughout the rev range. It will also decrease decel popping and run better with the EBR ECM.
Longevity - It will keep your pipe intact, in one peice, and insulate it from heat and vibration.

I would recommend (if you have the money and time) to repack the pipe even if it is brand new. The filling from Jardine is worthless.

I use American Sports Bike part # 9080-Packing - Packing for Jardine RT-1 Mufflers. I'm not plugging ASB, I have no reason to. But pretty much everything I have ordered from them is quality and Al is a really nice guy.

Its worth the $50 considering how long it will last and save you money in the future. If you buy the refill from Jardine I would guess you would refill the pipe 3 times before the ASB stuff needed maintence.

I just want to describe the ASB Jardine packing.

There is basically steel wool that rolls around the core. Attached to the steel wool is a flexible steel mesh. Once the wool is wrapped around the core, the mesh rolls around the wool forming a top layer. Then you apply 6 metal straps that are included in the kit. If I have 1 complaint it is that the straps are a little too short and are a massive PIA to clamp on. So much so that I bought longer straps and used those instead.

Once the core is wrapped and clamped, you wrap it again with the blow out resistant pillow. The pillow litterally looks like a miniature pillow. It feels extremely durable and has obvious insulating capability.

The kit comes with new stronger rivets and a super sharp drill bit that makes removing the old rivets a sinch.

Whoever designed the kit really understood what packing a muffler means, Aside from the straps, they could have put 1 more inch of length on them.

Next time I repack, Im gonna make a video but that may not be for a very long time considering how good the stuff is.
