Stock XB12 muffler on XB9?

This probably the dumbest question you'll see all day...

I'm looking to return my 07 9R to stock, and a forum member has offered a super clean muffler from an xb12. I know it will mount and fit fine, but what of the valve? Can I run this thing on my 9, or will the valve (obviously not connected to anything) cause problems for me? Can the valve be removed or modified to work without opening the muffler?

I'm assuming this will not work on my bike, but it's worth asking.

get one and the amv controller too, set switching points to 1400/3800/6000 rpm. best choice ever.
(or leave valve closed, it's like a stock xb9 system then).

Leaving the valve closed would allow me to run this muffler without any additional work to it? That's good news! I'm looking to keep this project cheap, my house has been bleeding me dry lately.

I ran a 12 on my 9 for a short while. I wired the valve open. Gave it a little more sound that was about it (I did have the race flash in my ecm)
