On this Sunday morning October 29, 2013 between the hours of approximately 2 am and 7 am my 2003 buell lightening xb9s 900cc was taken from my driveway.
I've reported it to the Portland Oregon police.
It has a custom blue and white paint job. On the side case is a service emblem decal:
Roman numeral 3 signifying.
"Never leave a man behind"
On the air intake cover is also a red and black decal.
Also is a custom Bluetooth radio/mps player installed on the handle hard.
Rims are white. Blue mirrors.
If you know of or have any information on this please contact myself or the Portland police.
There is a reward for its recovery.
This bike is a tribute to my deceased military brother.
I want to know if anyone has heard of people trying to sell parts.
I can pretty much know most critical parts by sight.
Parts have markings I'd know.

Any pictures?

Any security systems you installed on motorcycle? Alarm system? Disk locks?

I am racetucker1 who posted this morning my xb9s lightening 900 was stolen.
I had to make a new name to maestrorides.
I will repost this with pics
thank you

Whoever stole that will have a hard time keeping it under the radar, as small as the Buell community is presently. That bike is one of a kind. Looks like an exotic tropical Tucan. I recommend posting that on the Buell Facebook threads, it will get much more attention there.

Thank you. I keep wondering if the ass-wipe was trying to part it out over the next 10 years or repaint and try riding it? Have any thoughts yourself?

Thank you for the idea of another place to look. I a not a big social media user but I heard facebook has a market place? Any ideas?

Definitely use facebook Buell pages dude. Post lots of pictures and check the status frequently. That will give you the best chance of finding the bike. Hopefully another Bueller will spot it if the thief does not alter the bike. Also post the VIN if you have it. If he parts it, you might be able to catch him selling.

You might want to periodically browse ebay for Buell parts too. You might spot a familiar part being sold.....
