I want to get that word out that my Buell was stolen.

04 XB12R. Black with carbon fiber front fairing, airbox cover, rear hugger, rear heal guards, upper and lower belt guards.

Almost forgot, here's a pic minus the Carbon Fiber.

And then he can show up with a fireaxe...just an idea i had been working on...

Or a truck full of big ass firefighters, that would be pretty cool too

Ooooh...I'd be all over that. I'd totally show up ready to check VIN and beat ass.

Although the adult would prob call the police.

That would be my M.O.

Then call the police

"But when I checked the VIN he hit me officer.......I swear"

Sucks to say it, but chances are if he's parting it out, he's not selling anything with a vin on it. I know if I stole it, I would grind it off as soon as I got home with it. It's now a "race only" frame and motor

I'd still confront him. If I got there and the VINs were ground off, I'd turn violent. Why would you have a bike with no VIN proof. I'm convinced its the stolen 12r we're talking about. Too coincidental.

If its a race only bike, he would have a bill of sale. He still has to have some proof he bought it legally.

I place marks on my frame and swingarm. Something small and not like and symbol, just something I would know was my mark. I started this with my baseball bats in little league and never grew out of it.

Hven't needed it though.[smirk]

Maybe one day!

I sent the guy a question. I asked if there were any carbon fiber parts on it.

I really hope this guy gets his bike back!

Don't get hostile on him. Just be cool. Maybe bitter rod could help or lend advice. I know he may very well have your pride'n joy, love of your life, but it isn't something to go to jail for. I have a feeling cops would see as that way as well. Although it sure would feel good to get a couple of hits in.:D

Yes, he still has to have some proof he bought it legally.

All you Buell PI's keep us informed. Firefighter, sorry for your loss, but i'm always up for some good ol' fashioned involentary societal correction... Vigilanty Style
