from what I gather after some short internet searching

OK here is where I become a nerd again :D

H2O2 was his propellant (hydrogen peroxide)

it uses a chemical decomposition instead of "combustion" (read no ignition source necessary ie no spark plugs). pure hydrogen peroxide is mixed with a "chemical" in the expansion chamber. it can be nitrogen ethanol or even a solid rod acting as a catalyzer. at that point the catalytic reaction breaks apart the molecules resulting in rapid expansion of gasses which are them forced out of a nozzle for propulsion.

it is incredibly inefficient as it consumes massive quantities of "fuel" but because of its simplicity is very light (read: short burst use only).

DAMN that's cool!
 
Can you imagine firing that thing off at a traffic light. Look at the plume! LOL. That would def take care of the tailgaitors!
 
That is the same stuff used in the jet packs guys strap on their backs.

Pretty cool. Makes me wish I had learned something in High School Chemistry.
 
That thing is wicked. I think the one that was put up the other day had a quicker run though. Might have even been the same bike. Had the same theme music, but it was english and had MPH. I cant remember what his numbers were though.

Still cool either way. I'd ride it and then I'd buy new underwear.:D

he will still take maybe a second to accelerate up to ludicrous speed so I am counting on my running start

Very volatile stuff, the U.S. tested it as a torpedo propellant in the 60's but gave up on it. There is suspicion that the Russians were using it in their torpedoes when the Kursk was sunk.
