On an X1 how in the world do you change the mother truckin oil?????? I see the filter, and a guy said there's a drain tube. All I see is a breather hose off the top off the head down to the swing arm. I have no clue where to drain it from. The oil in it is waaaay nasty. Please don't laugh. Thanks.

There is a drain tube coming off the oil tank. The tube runs behind the rear pass peg and has a plug in it...

here is a pic - green arrow

you will also want to drain the primary... to do so you need to remove the muffler and there is a train plug there. Primary takes 20w-50 engine oil as well.

Yea I found it after a Google search. Primary is fresh. New gasket ,drain plug and a qt of drag specialties chaincase/primary oil.

Just FYI many/most use 20w50 motorcycle oil(same as engine) in the primary and have no issues.

Well the guy who sold me all the filters n fluids was a Harley instructor at MMI Orlando and he recommends the primary oil.

I think it's about the same as a Blast. there are two tubes going out the back, and oil for the trans goes out one, oil for the engine out the other.
