Stupid State Inspection

Just wondering what you guys do when you're up for inspection? I don't know how many states are sucky like DE when it comes to inspection, but in DE we have to take our bikes through the DMV inspection lane where they fail you for anything that isn't DOT approved. I dread inspection because I always take shit off my bike, so I need to put my stupid reflectors, chain guard, stock turn signals and rear render back on. I got everything back on except the rear fender. Does anyone have an uncut cheese grater or rear fender I can rig up and borrow for inspection? last time I zip tied my buddies gsxr fender on and hooked up the license plate light and got through. I don't have that anymore though. I'd pay shipping and get it back to you, or pass it on to who needed it next.

I'm in Texas and the guy that does mine at the local oil change place is a sport bike rider. When I pull the bike in I barely get a foot down before he has the sticker on it, so nope no problem at all.

Been riding w/o it for years...Lots of cases of riders near me that have gotten pulled over for other reasons and the officer doesn't even look for it.

Dude I've gotten pulled over because my visor was up at a red light, so I was "riding w/ out eye protection" and he said he did it just to make sure I had insurance and registration. I was like damn, really???

Wow that blows man, I have my PA inspection license for cars/trucks and motor cycles so mine is all legit but I don't work at a motorcycle inspection station. I take mine up to new castle Harley and 5 mins later my buddy slaps a sticker on

Yeah...near Pittsburgh. I don't know I'd go as far as no plate but yeah...the inspection is less targeted than the plate is. I'm sure there are exceptions to this is some areas...

In MD you have your initial inspection when you register the bike and that's it.

I've had my bike for a few months ( put about 2000 miles on it and just remembered I never got it inspected guess I should do that

Hahahaha here in NM we are still the wild west, we dont have any inspections at all. Only one county requires emissions

I'm going without one this year. I have never been pulled over on the bike. Should be fine. Last year the closest dealer was a Honda place and they wouldn't pass me until I put all the stock parts back on. I wasn't very happy. Year before that, they didn't care. If I do get a ticket sometime.. I'll take it to New Castle to get it done. At least it's a fun ride up there

I've had my XB for a hair over 6 years. I've had it inspected twice....

I keep it in good shape, I keep the registration current and always keep an insurance card.....
That's good enough right??

2nd on the reflector. That gets left out a lot on plate relocate kits. Most don't notice it, but it comes up once in a while.

ahh guys I jinxed myself in this thread.. I was out this past weekend following a cr and we both went through a helmet/ inspection check.. lets just say he made it through without an issue and I got stuck for almost a half hour and got myself aticket. the very next day ( yesterday) I got her inspected and hope when I go to court that my receipt will help me not get any real fines or anything
