I'm leaving Minneapolis on Tuesday the 9th. Riding again this year. I was going to have it trailered out but my uncle just decided he's not going. I just wanted to be fresh when I got there to do some riding but I guess I'll just get drunk and try to forget about my ass for a couple days again. We usually stay at that RV park at the 1st sturgus exit. Then the Buffalo chip a couple nights depending on what bands are playing.

Oh yea. Riding the Buell. 04xb12s. Stock seat but I do have Pro-taper bars w/ a 1" riser. Did it two years ago and wasn't too bad.

I went last year, but I'm just not feeling it this year. Getting time off work is gonna be tough, plus there aren't really any good bands playing at the Chip like last year. The rides are pretty fun up there, but I live at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, so I have better roads in my back yard. Maybe next year though since I'll finally be 21.

Im going to try. Itll be a tough ride on my firebolt. But how much fun it would be. It is fun right?

EDIT: Is it better to ride there or haul the bikes? I have a 15hr ride from MO

You get real life rep points if you ride. If you go there, you see tons of patches on people that say "I Rode Mine" and the year. That means they didn't trailer their bike up. But if you haul them, you might have a much better week cus you can pack more stuff and possibly bring a minibike to putt around the campground on. That's half the fun right there, depending on where you stay. At the buffalo chip, they have concerts every night, so you can ride to the concert and sit on the bike while you watch the concert, drink a bunch of beer (which I of course didn't do, being underage and all), then ride back to your tent/camper/car and crash. Chip tickets are crazy expensive though. Oh and good luck sleeping. Assholes with harleys like to rev their engines to redline for no reason at all into the wee hours of the night. ^^^thats good stuff. A+ on the helmut. Rode my dirtbike all 4th of July weekend with no issues. Got on my buddys 50 and crashed HARD twice. Still limping from it.


Im riding out with 2 harleys and they pretty much haul all my gear. I bungee my sleeping bag on the rear passenger seat area for lumber support though.
