Well i baught a bronco last week and the previous owner had mentioned the system in the back.I never paid any attention so after i got it home i pulled it all out.Now im wondering what its worth i was gonna throw it on craigslist.

so heres what i got.
pioneer head unit
2 12" rockford fosgate subs in box one cracked but still sounds good
1000watt rockford fosgate punch amp
600w rockford fosgate power amp
rockford fosgate cappasator
all heavy gauge power and ground, speaker wire.

thanks for any help.Brad

I would not go lower than $300, and that would be without the head unit. Pioneer makes great head units and they hold their value very well. What is the model number of it?

pioneer makes good units, but they also make some really crappy ones. don't let a name fool you.
the rf punch series is mid-grade but 300 sounds pretty close. depending on the area and how well the box is made/ what kind of box it is you can get quite a bit just from the box. what kinds of amps are they, mono/dual/etc?

and what brand of wire did they use, because "heavy duty" isn't always heavy duty. I know some places that sell 0 gauge and all it has is a thicker plastic to make it look that way.

Not always ture. I bought a in dash DVD touchscreen, radio for my wifes car.........c0st me about $500 now its worth about $200 and its not even a year old. I bought a single din pioneer for my truck at the same time ant a cost of $200.....now its selling for $50 less than a year later. Nothing is wrong with either and they work great.

The sub thats cracked is worthless to any true Audiofile and they wouldnt give you much......just thought I would throw that out there.

I say your at the top of the price range that most will pay for used audio eqipment and thats with the head unit.....UNLESS its a REALLY GOOD head unit that cost a fortune.

It's a deh-p5900ib like I said I'd be happy for$200 and I hooked it up to a car bat in my basement and cracked sub doesn't sound any different than the other. The subs are punch p3's and the box is a scorpion if that means anything. Thanks again

Ebay is an awesome tool, you can search closed autcions and see what the stuff has actually been selling for. Make sure you are comparing the correct model numbers.

Good luck!

I would echo Buellysses. From the experience I've had with car audio equipment, and reselling as I upgraded, put it on Ebay separately. Larger audience, and just about guaranteed to be rid of it in a week. Your wire is not worth a whole lot, but someone might snag it. The amps sound decent, and as you said, the cracked one would be good to hold all of your bolts together on your next teardown.

If the amps are in visually good shape, you might be surprised at how much they go for. I just looked at the specs, and that is a pretty decent little radio. With some add-ons, you have ipod controls and bluetooth, but new, it is $200. Not bad though.
