Thanks man. It's called HDR photography, which stands for High Dynamic Range. You basically take 3 or more exposures of the same shot and merge them together. Then you come up with a shot where everything is exposed properly.

^^^the world does. Our eyes have way more latitude than most cameras. If you want even more latitude, get yourself some high quality sunglasses like Maui Jims.
