After totally rebuilding my motor and transmission I finally thumbed the starter!
It's not idling the way Id like it to but it is rideable.
AND the transmission seems to be working perfectly!
I have a feeling that my old school Buell race ECM needs some tweeking to deal with the added ccs, cams and head work.
I did all the basics before starting the bike. Checked the timing, reset TPS and reset AFR. So I know those things are good.
I'll have to do some data logging this weekend to see what's going on.
I'll do ANYTHING to my bike mechanically without too much hesitation but this tuning crap seems a little scary to me.
I'll be reading through the various ECMspy posts before attempting to tweak anything.
I will say it smells like it's running rich.

Ugh. Maybe it's not just a slight fueling issue.
Bike was idling just fine early this afternoon. So, I thought I'd take it to get it inspected and on the ride to the shop the RPMs started to sky rocket! Thing was idling at 3k and wouldn't come down. Not only that but the return oil line from the oil cooler to the oil filter won't stop leaking at the fitting. Drips just enough on the header for a nice little smoke and sound effects show.
I've parked it for now. Won't mess with it again till tomorrow. My patience has just about run out.
I can look on the bright side. Transmission is good and the cases aren't leaking. That's a big victory, as far as I'm concerned, for this amateur rebuild!

Oil line fitting fixed.
TPS reset, idle adjusted as low as bike will allow.
Checked for intake leaks and all seems good.
Took bike for a 30 minute ride and it performed as perfectly as a Buell can.
The idle "lopes" a bit when cold but once the bike is good and warm, holds nice and steady.
Still need to do some data logging. But for know the bike runs and rides just as good as I can remember.
AND dam does the transmission shift nicely. Been a long time since I could say that!
So nice rolling on and off the throttle, in third gear, and not feeling the tranny skip!
Thanks to everyone that threw in their 2cents.
Hope you guys have some change left cause I'm sure this saga isn't over
