I bought my Lightning in February and tuned the suspension in line with the owners manual... for the most part. You see I was kidding myself about how much I weighed so I actually set it up for someone 40lbs lighter than me and I also managed to overlook setting rebound. So tonight I set everything up as it SHOULD be as well as adjusted the handlebars slightly... holy ****, it feels like a whole different bike! I just tooled around the neighborhood slightly but it feels like it is dropping into turns so much quicker now and overall much more responsive. Wish I did it right the first time.

It is the truth, having your suspension up correctly changes the whole bike.

When I bought my bike the suspension setting were different on both forks, I set it to factory and it made the bike handle like it should not like a semi.

Skyline Drive October come down with some of the PA guys.

Setting up the suspension correctly is one of the best modifications you can do to your bike. The ride is more enjoyable and a lot safer.

Started with the factory recommendations for my weight. (plus gear) I'm still playing around with the settings to find what's best for my preferred roads and ridding style.

Try these setting out once your are used to those and see if you see an improvement. I really like Steve's settings much better.

2005 scg.. I feel totally unsafe when I go into a corner.. So I'm looking for any ideas on improving my ride.

What tires and pressures are you running? What condition are they in? They can make as big a difference as suspension settings do.
