i am currently rebuilding my engine due to a bearing failure in the crank.

metal fillings pasted through the system and i need to clean the oil tank in the swing arm before reinstalling engine.

any tips on how to do this or anyone that has, please let me know as i am not sure if this will work and i will end up

with more filling going back through?

Do you have the swing arm off the frame? If so, I'd fill it with solvent, shake it, & drain it a few times to flush it out.

if it's off the frame, kerosene works well. Flush a couple of times and make sure you let it totally dry before refitting to bike. If it's not off the frame, now would be a good time to remove it. Only way to be sure 100% clean.

thanks for the advice, will remove swing arm from frame and clean. was going to leave intact and clean but on both your advice i will remove
