How are you all Doing tire changes? I have a pit bull stand that doesn't need spools but can work with them simply by switching a few pieces on the stand.
When I put it on my bike due to the shape of the swing arm it wants to slide off! Almost lost the bike at one point...
I feel like I am not the only person to deal with this!!
Anyone know of a way besides drilling the swing arm and installing a set of spools?

I've used a motorcycle jack under the exhaust so that I could change my rear tire.

I got the ole harbor freight stand that hooks under the swingarm on both sides, works great. Left my bike up on it pretty much all winter in my basement. Doesnt act like it wants to slide at all.

Here's how mine lifts:

IIRC, the newer swing-arms have a steeper angle that makes it more difficult for the fiction alone to hold it but they should be OK so long as they have rubber on them.

I have actually started to place a rag on mine to keep from scratching the swing-arm and it's still very sturdy...

Has anybody drilled their swingarm for spools? I'd be curious to see how well it works.
