I just got off the phone with my local HD dealer and the parts guy couldn't come up with anything. I was wondering if anyone had a part number handy? Also do they come with the fiber washers or do I need to purchase those seperately?

Thanks,
James

These little guys are kind of expensive - so if you didn't care if it is not stock, I went to my local fastener company and got allen screws, flat washers and clear washers. All together it about the price of ONE of these peices.

Here is how it looks:

Glad to know there all the same, I tried threading some in the holes and it got tight REAL quick. But my bike has never had the chin fairing on since i've owned it. I'll just run a tap in there and see how they fit after.

Went to my local Fastenal and bought 50 Stainless Steel 1/4-20 screws and som plastic washers for $10 works good

That's what I'm talking about too. Works fine. Looks good. I just couldn't see paying that kind of price for the stock shoulder screws.

from the 2005 Buell parts catalog.

AA0404.11CXDBL is the screws on chin fairing fronts

BA0409.6BL is the black nylon(plastic) washer fronts

CA0012.02A8 side of chin fairng screws

BA0509.6 is nylon washer for above screws

(those are zeros not letter O dont forget the period too in there)

All the stock hardware on these bikes are mushy chinese quality junk metal. IMO it should be replaced with higher quality.

i replaced all i could with wing nut backs and thick rubber graumets to protect paint ect. then all oth er screws i use the star key it grips good and i never get close to stripping them

Old thread i know but i'm curious what the length of these are, I realized i am missing one and the front two are gross. I'm away from my bike, at work and a vendor says he can get me some ti ones for super cheap (or free). Thanks in advance

According to that diagram it appears the other 5 are 11/16" in length, is this true, pretty sure all of my chin hardware is the same length, although the PO could have switched them up.

If i'm going to replace one, i'm going to replace them all, I want black... I'm good, thank you for the diagram!

The new bolts Twin motorcycles have sourced (black) are absolutely brilliant. Super light and machined exceptionally well. The kicker is shipping (which is crazy high). Sandro can get them shipped along with other stuff (5-0dro) when he orders it from the Twin folks - which definitely decreases their overall cost. I replaced all my airbox shoulder bolts, chin cowl bolts, front fender bolts, rear belt guard(s) bolts and rear mud flap bolts with these and I am quite happy with the result.

If any additional information is worth noting, I had to source some of these to fit my Micron, it turned out to be an M6 1.25 pitch if I remember correctly.

Found some to work at the nearest hardware store in Stainless and it worked like a charm
