I have a question for the brilliant minds at BuellXB.com, but you guys will suffice...
I kid I kid

(it's more like a ramble now that I think of it...)

but seriously, you guys know your stuff and I am always impressed and you continually edjamicate me aboot BamBam and Buells in general.

in Dec I did my breather re-route...(with condom shaped catch can..always a eye catcher! LOL)
a few weeks later I did the airbox delete...
but since the re-route was done I have a abnormal amount of liquid in my catchcan even after short blasts AND it seems to be more gas then anything else.

BamBam came to me with K&N filter and D&D exhaust and race ECM...

my brain is saying 'hey, it seems like he might need to be re-mapped'

He runs fine, nice and crisp throttle responce, great power across the powerband, he can lift his front tire running thru 1st-3rd without trying too....

I fiddled with his idle cause he seemed to be running a tad under 1000rpm when I first got him (last Oct)and when we rode today he idled fine but over the last few weeks when we have had a good day to get out and ride, he seemed to idle a little high...

I really don't have much experience with hooking comps to vehicles and have read up aboot emspy and the like but would be wadeing into unknown territory....so any feedback, ideas or just the magic answer to everything I need to know would be appreciated.

From what I know your set up makes your engine run lean and either stock or race ecm isn't suitable for it. If you read the exhaust shoot out on ASB site they recommend remap for D&D pipe, preferably custom map for particular bike, using dyno to make it run like a champ. I'm in the same boat, just got my D&D and when it gets warmer I'll take it to dyno tune it for the best results.

somebody stop me if I'm wrong but there should be little to no fuel in the catch can. that almost sounds like a bad gasket somewhere.

[up] I'm going to second that not to say yay or nay that a gasket be the issue I just don't think fuel should be makin it to you catch can

well we were blessed with another fine day for riding so I took advantage of it...

this may be considered a update....
after aboot 30 minutes of spirited riding (was +5 degree celcius today) I stopped to check my catchcan and noticed aboot 1/4" of liquid that was some emulsified oil in it as well as regular moisture that can accumulate in them....

I had posted previously that I thought it was gas but after todays ride and reading up on breather re-routes I have come to some sort of conclusion...

...the gas like smell that accompanies the liquid is nothing more then then:
(cut/paste from LeFox July 15th/2008)

"to explain the concept.
original routing re-uses already burned gasses, which still have some unburned particles into the mixture and route them back to the inlet to burn again, thus actually burning the mixture twice.
this causes less unburned particles to be released into the air, which is better for the environment.
in this mixture, there are of course also exhaust fumes which don't burn that good and which prevents your engine from running optimal, especially at low rpm when there's not enough fresh air getting mixed with the already burnt mixture. "

So what I thought was gas was the unburnt fuel and exhaust gases
:)

ok that is ok to have in there. kinda a white and brown liquid? sometimes even with a slight yellow tint to it?

that is normal discharge. or "engine splooge" I always thought it smelled more like the flightline but not too many guys can relate to that smell.
