Tack issue

Installed a new back ground in my gauges now the tack only works some times. I took it apart a couple times but it is still not work right Any o e have this issue is there away to fix it?

Did you push it back on all the way? Maybe the shaft is slipping in the hole. Yea i just went there

yes it was pushed on all the way . I since took it apart and put it back on alittle looser it worked for a bit but it is back to working when it wants to
