I finally did it. A few hours with a Dremel and a grinder was well worth it! Looks pretty damn good. I'll post up completed pics once I finish painting it.
Not when I don't have the right size allen wrench for the bolts. I've got a TON of clear tarps for painting. Everything's wrapped up in plastic and tape now. I'll post up pics tonight of the paint idea I did.
Ha! Seriously, whoever invented the Torx bit was both a genious and an *******. They don't round out as easily as an allen, but you have to buy a bunch of new drivers and bits.
not to mention I bought a set that adapts to a 3/8 drive ratchet which wont fit into some spaces like the headlight assembly so I had to go back and get a screwdriver style. then standard allen wrenches will no way in hell work for the primary cover so of course then you have to by a an allen wrench socket set by the end of one weekend the advance auto people new me by name or that greasy buell guy
Baja- Dumped it out and only had the one smaller allen but not the big one for the passenger pegs and frame mounts. Was it supposed to have 2 allens in the bag?
Here's the tail all mounted up and textured. Rustoleum's truck bed coating matches the factory frame texture almost perfectly. I'll get better pics with my camera soon.
