Here's a couple pics of the bike after I added the Trojan tail lift. I also installed the brake delete. I decided to get the full kit from americansportbike.

Looks good!

I just posted another topic before I saw these pictures. Does that stand fit your swingarm well? I was looking into the same rear stand but was worried my xb swingarm would be too wide. I have a 2003 but I assume both style of swingarms were the same width.

upthemaiden,

Yeah, the stand works well with the bike. The width is adjustable to where it fits well. I need to buy some new red plastic caps for mine. I didn't notice that I was missing a cap on one side of the stand.

Thanks guys! I think one of my favorite mods I did this summer was the cheapest. I polished the lip on the rear sprocket and it turned out great. Love teh way it looks!

yeah it comes with everything you need. It cost $246. I'm sure its possible to piece a kit together for less by getting used parts, but I felt better knowing that everything was new. I also liked that the mounting bracket is black.

what goes into a lift kit? Just the spacer by the rear arms? Is the install easy? Any negative side effects?

What BuellRider said, I'm not a fan of the tail lifts either, but that's the cleanest one I've seen yet. Do love the hidden caliper, it's on my list of mods to do.

man i've had my tail lift sittin on a shelf since january. i might need to get rollin on the install

misternikko- the lift was very easy to install. It took less than 20 min to do everything. The spacers didn't come painted the same color as the frame so I ordered some paint from ASB so that it would match.

The ride position feels a little different since the seat is a little steeper, but nothing I didn't get used to after a couple rides.

Miami78- yeah the caliper mod is great because it makes the back look a lot cleaner. I love how the disc is exposed with no caliper on top. I highly recommend it.

I had to adjust the suspension cause I got a weird wobble at around 75. Was told it was because the seated position puts more weight up front. I have the first run set of spacers from Diesel Moto. Definitely the best two mods I've done. But not easy on long trips.

I haven't experienced any speed wobble since the tail lift. My steering damper may be helping with that.

Damn.... typeone competitor right here. This is one of the top 5 best looking lightnings. Very nice!

Next mod: chicken strip delete
