Also a polished option would be nice. Since you can have a clear powder coat put over it to keep it nice and pretty.

Take a survey,Most of your sales will come from this forum and the other one!Look at the Buell factory right side scoop post,Harley made a profit on that plastic!

count me in for a "raw finish"

I will take a raw one cause I am sending a lot of stuff to get coated and one more piece won't drive up the cost that much.

Got another email from Jake on the tail lift so I figured I would share it with you all.

--------UPDATE-------

I Have a cast part done made out of epoxy, that is finished to size so I can trasfer measurements over to the CNC. So far it looks very similar to the PM cast parts but mine will be different and billet.

Jake

Nope but looking at next week for the first part off the CNC Machine.

Definitely making progress, just takes time.

---------Update-------

Finished up the molded part as I mentioned before. My machinist is out on the road till thursday this week and he hasn't seen the finished part yet. He will be evaluating on what it is going to take for programming and we'll calculate it out from there on what final pricing will be or if any major changes will need to be made in the design in order to keep the pricing below $200. I have all intentions of keeping the price as low as possible but that will depend on machining costs.

I should have an answer, pricing, and exact final design early to mid next week and if all goes well, plans of shipable parts before Christmas.

I'll keep you up to date, thanks,
Jake

Yeah I am super stoked someone is actually doing something about the tail lift.

I know there are other options but none will be of the quality or actually from within the states and easy to order.

I was going to order a lift a while back but since I don't know German I couldnt navigate the website let alone order anything.

I am thinking this might be a Xmas present for quite a few Buellers here, assuming Jake has them done early enough[up]

The last post on here from me was his last update sent to me. I hope to hear from him either today or first thing next week.

He is looking into casts he mentioned a billet CNC piece will cost to much so he is looking into cast in either aluminum or a carbon graphite that will be much stronger than a cast aluminum, but as we want the lower price he is trying to keep it as low as possible but maintain the quality he demands.

He took sometime off over the holidays and is going to get back on it this week.

I am hoping to hear something by weeks end, otherwise I will contact him to see whats going on.
