Tyler,
Stick to your guns .. It's a great bike, my son who is on active duty returned from Afgan from an injury and before checking into the hospital, he blew all his extra hazardous duty pay, family sep pay etc on a 2004 CBR 600. So, at 51 years young, I bought the same bike you are trying to sell, just to convince him to show his butt on a race track, and street ride to live. The seller was asking $6,300, but I put $5,000 cash in his hand, (all in 20's) to see if he would hand it back, so I got mine for $5K bone stock, no mods just the way I like it. BTW, my son, who didn`t consult me paid $4K for his CBR 600. Since owning the bike, I feel like I got a great deal, besides following Eric Buell`s work for 26 years. My first new bike was a 1986 1100 Sportster Custom, at the time I didn`t know that Eric put his own race teams secert, (at the time), bath tub chamber heads on the bike. With a few well researched improvements, that sportster made a lot of guys get small in my mirrors real quick. People do not know how to read spec sheets, and just because a Ducati shows 6 hp more, doesn`t mean jack, cause it doesn`t even come into play until to late in the RPM band. As I said above, it's a great bike, and platform to build on, if you can connect a couple of Eric Buell's Production you tube video's to your bikes listing, it will help you educate people on the true value of your bike. There are two video's that closed the deal for me. Then again, I know the only real way to get your money out of any vehicle is to drive it .. and when I buy, I buy for the long haul, that's why I have been riding my 1999 Softail Night Train for 16 years now, and most of the parts I've replaced, I've made myself. To include machining parts to fit a 200mm rear tire in a stock swing arm that most dealers and custom shops said could never be done. I know I threw some off topic words in here, but I just wanted to affirm that some people do not understand that your bike was built to last by a very smart guy. Do some dyno runs and post them with your sales ad, between that and the production youtube videos I believe you will be able to sell him / her for a price you can live with. I wouldn't sell it for under $5K, but that's my opinon, so it don't mean much. Good luck, sincerely ...
Very Respectfully,
George
