Buells have a problem.

Since there were so many that were bought and then left to languish in the back of a garage, 35k is considered 'high mileage' by the average shopper. It's NOT high mileage, no where near it, especially for a Buell and frankly, I trust it WAY more than a 3000 mile rotted one. But 'low mileage' has such a stigma for being showroom fresh (without any consideration of the abuse that really is to a machine) it commands a higher price from the less experienced customer.

This little cherry ^^^ is worth every penny, and then some.

3000 mile "rotted one"? LOL

Judge for yourself from my actual 2021 sales. All flawless un-modded originals. Recently departed brands such as Victory and Buell continue to have below-average desirability and resale values. Will remain that way the balance of this decade, by all appearances.

1-2008 XB12 Black Lightning new-in-crate ZERO miles---$8500
2-2009 XB12 Barricade Ulysses--4100 miles--------------$6900
3-2008 XB9 Hero Blue SX-------12000 miles-------------$5600
4-2010 XR1200 Mirage Orange Springsteen edition----4000 miles-----$12,500

The point is that mileage tells very little of the whole story. Being ridden 500 miles a year is much harder on a motorcycle than being ridden 5000. Old gas, weak batteries, surface rust, degraded rubber, acidic deposits, cold starts, critters, all add up to a hard life with 'low miles'.

Stored properly inside a climate controlled building (as you do, John), is very different from jammed under a tarp in the backyard for a decade only to be dragged out every other year, thrown on car jumpers and revved to the moon to 'keep the fluids moving'. Both examples may have 4000 miles on them, but I'd pay a premium for one of yours:love_heart:
