how did they hold up?
did they do the job?
im thinking about getting them and wanted to see if they really work

I have seen them work. Their is a post somewhere on badweb about them and he was able to reuse them after a low side track accident.

I have them on my bike. Haven't crash tested them yet and I hope I never do, but those things are light and thick and look and feel durable as hell. They clink like billet when you tap them together. Really nice bits.
