Hello, I have been lurking for too long in here with a Buell my father left me. Was never a great fan of Buells but he made me promise to keep and care for it so I've been reading some of your information and hopefully with a little luck maintain the Buell. As far as I know it's running well but I haven't really taken it out for any serious adventures but I might have a look at some of the flooding soon. I live in San Antonio and I can't imagine the miserable conditions for people and the vehicles that will never be the same after being submerged. How many good bikes in people's garages will be wasted or can they be recovered?

High and dry Bueller for the moment https://map.texasflood.org/#/map/@30.05008,-95.44922,6z

Hang in there man. Thoughts and prayers, (and money donations), out to you Texans.
Ride that Buell. Your dad knew what he was talking about.
Thanks, I'm good where I am but if your Buell was dropped in the river for a week would you give up on it? Part it out or even that would have it's limitations. Something you don't think about until you see the water rising. I might go in and see what if anything a person to do to help. Hey don't be so quick to send money until you are sure where it's going and what are their administrative fees for managing it. I think we learned that from Katrina and 911.

Good advice......I'm sending my money to the humane society of Houston. People can fend for themselves in one way or another. Animals rely on us!.... Update, funds sent.

That's right! poor critters. You know if had to watch my possessions slowly going under and my cat was out of harm's way you might see me riding a Buell through the front door and up the staircase LOL. The auto would just have to drowned I guess.

I would rather die with my animals and would before I turned my back on them. We might go look at another dog at a local shelter this weekend that just took in ten dogs from Texas and more on the way

Respect.. I feel the same way about my animals. They are family I would never turn my back on them

I too like my animals better than most humans. If people can't take care of themselves, no-one can (excepting of course those humans with disabilities and such).
It also pisses me off when people just leave their animals to fend for themselves. THEY ARE YOUR FAMILY TOO!

My Brother and his family are in Sweet and are doing well. They have taken in 2 families that were refused at the hotel because of their dogs. They would not leave their animals and when my brother found out, him and his wife invited the families to stay with them.
