I suppose this is always a cause of debate but i was wondering, Licence Plates, does anyone have any suggestions, other than just leaving it off, on how to build something to lower and raise a plate on an 07 XB12S?
Can't take the chance of leaving it off, impounding is the new thing out here at the moment.

if they find that system, impounding the bike will be the least of your worries [smirk]

True True, but funny enough they don't really mind that here, all the guys are telling them that it's for track days. So, any ideas?

i think an easier solution would be a clip-in system instead of raise/lowering system.

seperate the plate holder from the part where it's attached to the frame making it in to some sort of hinge.
all you need then is to find something to hold it in...maybe a magnet for easy application?

There was a post about 6 months or so ago that someone was using a soft tail plate holder mounted upside down above the rear tire. I believe that BPG posted it with part numbers, prices, and pictures. I looked for a bit in the old forums but did not find it, anyone remember?

See my post on Badweb (http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/268628.html). All parts were purchased on eBay, but you can find them locally too.
