So these last couple weeks iv really been debating on switching to the 1125cr. I love my Firebolt. The sound, the look, the crazy amount of low end torque. But the more I see the 1125cr the more I like it. The styling while odd at first has really grown on me. The Helicon V-Twin with all its power and awesomeness, the better performence in general.

I go on quite a bit of group rides, and im getting pretty tired of of fading in the straights and catching up in the corners. I ride with quite a bit of other Twins also, Ducati1000s, Ducati Monster 600, Honda RC51, Id really like something that is more on the same playing field. Iv spoken to a few 1125R owners that have made the switch and ALL of them say it was the best decision they made.

There are downsides tho of course. The Sound isn't half that of my Firebolt. Worse fuel economy, longer wheelbase, less torque(Only by a few foot lbs), And all my gear is black and blue, not black and red. So I either change my gear, or the bike. And id prolly change the bike to black and blue.

Now I dont plan on making the change till after this riding season. I figure give the Bolt at least two solid riding seasons, and stack up some extra dough for the switch. So, Id like to hear what you guys think? I know there aren't too many 1125 riders on here, but any input is welcome!
Heres a link to the comparison.

If I were going to get something else and get rid of my lightning, it would probably either be an 1125cr or Triumph speed triple... As for the gear not being the same color, who cares as long as you are wearing gear....

Have fun with the cr...

um....hello!

Yeah, I wasn't too keen on the CR look at first, but it's sorta grown on me especially after seeing it in person. Will it's 156mph Top Speed get you up with the other dudes in the straights though? Either way, good luck with your decision cause it's an awesome piece of machinery.

well, i've ridden the cr and i prefer it with the streetversion handlebars, not the clubmans.

also, i don't like the looks & sound of the engine and the bike is long.

i like my xb cause i can easily push it in a low speed corner, supermotard style, which is something that is not as easy with the cr.
i'm faster in corners with my xb, but then again, i'm used to my xb.

ducati 600's can not keep up with your xb and you can hang with a 1000, no problem.
the rc51 will get you once you're out that corner...but it isn't half as much fun to ride.

i'm guessing i would get tired of the cr after some time, like i had with my ducati's and honda's.

if i could do a good deal, i would buy one...but wouldn't want it as my only bike. unlike my xb which i see myself riding till i can't ride no more.

i would also look into moto morini...the looks & sound is better than the cr and ducati and the handling is awesome.
the stock engine (140hp) has 123nm...which is 12nm more torque at 1500 less rpm than the cr = more fun.

that just my opinion, though ;)
