If you dont know whats going on, go to the "They could have killed me thread". First I would like to apologize for my rant in that thread. I tend to be a little excitable, especially about things I care about. Second I would like to really thank you all for all the support and input from my Buell brothers. If I would not have had the input from all of you I am sure I would not have got the result from the dealer I did. After ranting with you all and taking your advice I was able to calm down and write out what I wanted to say to the owner of the dealership and gave him a call. He had not been told of the situation by his staff. Hmmmm. I calmly told him everything and said not only is my bike damaged but my confidence and trust in a dealership I once respected was damaged as well. He said he would get to the bottom of it and call me back. About two hours later he called and apologized for what I had been through and said his mechanics admitted their fault and carelessness to him. He then said he would personally take care of me and the situation. The next day they showed up on my doorstep - 120 miles away, with my bike in the back of their truck, freshly washed and waxed with the new bars put on right according to the instructions and pics! The manager profusly apologized again and handed me a bill with the hours cut down from 7.5 hours to the 3 it was supposed to take. He then handed me a gift certificate for the dealership and a letter with notes from each mechanic, manager and everyone involved with me and my bike, apologizing for the damage/trouble they caused me! Pretty incredible I think. I know being able to talk to you guys about it first and taking your advice had alot to do with it, so thank you all. P.S. I will be posting pics with reviews for all of you who are interrested in the mods I have done. Custom seat, exhaust turn outs, mirror extenders, xb lower pegs, double bubble windscreen, high r bar kit with bar warmers. Thanks again guys, this site rules!!:D:D:D

Also sounds like to me the owner really cares. Making his staff go through the trouble of writing a letter!!? thats almost unheard of these days. Good job!

:)
Glad it is handled now i have finally got my r out today bar riser and drop pegs likely to be my next purchases

you done good mi bredrin!!:)
Gotta admit,I'm impressed how they handled it.

thats great! glad to hear I would defiantly give them my business again with that kind of a fix

that owner Definitely knows that word of mouth and every single customer is important to his or her bussiness and their Satisfaction is valued greatly( especially in this days economy)...
i think that was the best way to handle your problem...
so what did you say to him or her anyways so the rest of us can have an ideal of what to say if we have a similar situation to yours, who knows maybe it might help.

Thats great news, sounds like a very good and honest store manager, its a shame the staff were to scared to face up to him about it sooner, but all is good now

Bravo! Short of getting it right the first time, that's how they should respond.

glad to hear that resolved the solution to keep a customer always nice when they actually take care of you
