Well....at least it was "damn near"!!:). Easy fix though! Stone or other "foreign" object do you think?!

Yes my bikes belt, O7 XB9SX 14,000 miles, looks to be the original belt, all guards installed, i was wondering about this just the other day to thinking you know what i should really look at getting one and replacing it soon, well i guess that decision has now been made for me.

An '07 with only 14K....I'm SURE you had to have had something run thru it. I'm obviously no guru....but my '06 had over 20K on it.I've heard they run a long time. There's guys on here that can attest to that I believe?!

My belt did the same thing at 15,000. 06 XB12Ss with no belt guards. None on the bike when i bought it, thinking about finding or makeing some though.

I think mine is Goodyear and I know for certain it is OE. Just went passed 35,000 miles without belt guards. 2005 CG
And yes I inspect it religiously.

I took my guards off briefly in the shop when i first got it but like it much better with them on so that's where they'll stay, I might fab some out of ss or aluminum at work when i gets some time tho.

I think the belt guards are the ugliest part of the bike, so in the box o' Buell they went.

My 2003 XB9S has 23k miles and still has the original belt. Guess something got stuck in between yours, maybe a small rock..

Yeah something happened there, dont know what but now it looks like I have to shell out some $$$ to get up and running again, just as the weather is starting to look nice the rest of the week to [down]

Haha You got me. Very slick bike Jesse.

I see you are minus the passenger stirrups as well. And you flipped the tag bracket!!

shot in 14k miles? not unusual for me to get belt-drive sportsters and big twins in here with well over 50k miles on original belts and still life left in them. what's my point? as usual i have none. :D
