I would say the guy with the red car stopped in the middle of the road is the biggest idiot, then a close second goes to driver of the white car that crosses the center line. Third to the bike, he was obviously hauling ass but was not crossing into on coming traffic. Just my .02.

Both are idiots, as if im not. But no reason for the car to be outside their lane, the riders speed had no affect on the cars lae position. That article as brief as it was, really aimed at the rider being the bugger hazard, i disagree.

I'm sure I'll take flack for this but... The guy on the bike is a ******* idiot. Period. Any one of the cars in his same direction of traffic could have made a normal safe lane change and this ******** going 3x faster than they are is going to come up on them so fast there's no avoiding the inevitable. He could have caused a wreck that could have killed people all because he wants the adrenaline rush or is trying to show off.

I know we all goose it when we shouldn't or try to get the most out of the twisties but you can't do this stuff in traffic and expect no bad results. Besides, it gives us ALL a bad name and makes us look like total jackasses.

Take it to the track or WAAAAY backroads where you know the road and can see what's coming and act accordingly.

I'm just sayin; if this guy caused me to wreck or slammed in to me doing 130mph with my family in the car while he's pulling this **** off I'd want him to pay the price.

Well first..... There on the wrong side of the road......
But to be honest... I see no foul...
But the truth of it is, dude on the bike was going to over his head and got tunnel vision and was not aware of his surroundings.

1) there was a guy on the left side of the road that was pointing at him
2) there is a stalled red car on the right side of the road.
3) there are people out of there car on the right side of the road.

That little silver car was just trying to give them more space.

Know this is just my two cents but.. Liability lies on the rider, he decided to speed and was looking for the rush, he got a little more then he wanted.
but if they did collide, at the end of the day there would have been a bunch of people saying that the biker came in hot and clipped the car.

Videos like this make me feel like such a good rider. His "close call" wouldn't have even been one if he was going a reasonable speed. That being said, of course there's no excuse for the car being in his lane. It's up to us to think FOR other people. We can't get all pissed off and emotional about something like this if we know we put ourselves in that situation. Most motorcycle accidents with cars are the fault of the driver not the rider, but whose fault it is doesn't matter when the rider is dead.

Not saying I follow speed limits but there is a reason that race tracks are built. Keep it on the track. Thats why us sport bike riders get such a bad wrap!

No matter how great of a driver you think you are you still have to drive for everyother bad driver you share the road with. He clearly was speeding and taking chances. I'd say if he were going slower the would be no close call because he wouldn't be hugging the corner. Always leave a buffer zone between you and others both for stopping and turning and you don't find your self on a simular situation.
At least he was wearing gear!

Motorcycle guy is an idiot!

Here in the states, you pretty much need to expect the cagers to be dumb *****. Everyone is playing on the phone or reading the paper, etc...

As a rider, you should try your best to keep away from those folks (any cage on the road) that could possible wander lanes.

This rider was on the far side of the lane closest to oncoming traffic and leaning over some. He wasnt on a track, if your going to ride that fast on a public road, at least stay on the side of your lane away from traffic.

Now for the driver of the car, open your M0$#&R F@$&1NG eyes in stay in your own lane!!

I fully support any laws banning talking, texting, emailing while driving. All focus should be on the road and the road only.

Just ride safe everyone... and know if you ride fast and right next to the center line like this guy, you might get your head knocked off from #1 riding like an idiot and #2 having to share the road with other idiots..

It's completely possible for two parties in the same accident to be negligent.

Although everyone of us speeds at times and try to mimic what we see on MotoGP and AMA, the truth is the rider was hugging the inside stripe in the apex of a turn with other vehicles oncoming. He could've actually been in the outside lane hugging that lanes inside line with an entire lane serving as a buffer while accomplishing the same goal of a tight line.

His speed was such that he wouldn't have been able to make an evasive maneuver safely if that car would've been out 2 more feet.

The other side of the coin is the driver of the car crossed over the center line, period. Regardless of a stalled car on his side.

In my opinion, both are negligent, both are equally responsible for the close call. And that's my arm chair quarterback judgement! :D
