Thoughts on this set up

Alright, so by spring my main modifications will be done to my bike. Open airbox with K&N, breather reroute, Drummer exhaust. The big question is should I finish this combination up with a Buell Race ECM, or get a tune by Xopti? I don't feel like I am qualified enough to be data logging and making my own maps using ECMspy, so that is not an option at this time for me. Let me know what you guys think on what route I should go.

especially since he's done a lot of tuning with Kevin from drummer.

im sure he has a program that will make your bike come alive.

and to be honest...the Race ECM isnt all that well tuned. even people with race ecm's get them reworked.


but if you wanna try it, you can download the Race ECM data and flash it to your ECM for free.

Hi all, sorry to hijack the thread and sorry for nOOb question ...
I have been looking into this Xopti, how dose it all work?
Do you take your bike to him or do you give him a list of mods like Open airbox with K&N, breather reroute, Drummer exhaust on 07 xb12s and dose he send you data to plug into you buell [confused]

To get the best tune with Xopti, you are going to have to do some datalogging. He does some general reworking of the ecm data to get you on the right track for your setup and what you hope to achieve out of your bike(way over my head, but it works!).
To get it tuned in as good as possible(without a professional dyno tune), you need to do some datalogging runs and analyze it through megalog viewer.
For me Xopti's original tune was great, but I didnt see the full potential of it till I started datalogging.
My bike runs beautifully now.
I had the race ecm before I worked with him, no comparison.

Just email him and explain that you're no familiar with the program and Mike will tell you what to do next, by the way, the first thing you need is a cable so you can hook up either your laptop or a Palm. Visit Xopti website and read the tutoring which will give you a idea to what's to come.
