Hi, i have the following problems;

my throttle stays stuck, full open but also halfway etc
I found the problem doing a tps reset, full open and let it shoot back( it didn't shoot back.
now i removed the air-filter and all the plastics (used the de-noid topic for that but cant find anything that is wrong except for a spring that has no tension.
is this a known problem does anyone know a solution?

and my second question is, is it normal that the valves have oil/dirt on them?

I hope some of you have answers
and my excuses for my English typing..

Thanks!,

Depends, WHAT Bike do you have? There's a return spring for any throttle on Engines. If it's broken or un-hooked it will malfunction.Have you put anything on the ends of the handlebars?Bar ends for example. If not check all of the throttle area.Cables, the spring, the clamp that holds the throttle cables, Depending on which Bike you have. If you can post a better[ picture] that may help. The Throttle Tube could be worn out but more info is needed.Check the Manuals TOP of the page Maybe that will help get you in the right direction.

Well I've posted it in the 1125CR part of the forum.. so i tough that wouldn't be necessary to say.
and in the new picture the 3 springs that have a black arrow don't have tension, not at no gas but also not at WOT(i can wobble the spring with my fingers) an the red one does have tension (i can't wobble the spring with my fingers)
and yes i have bar end mirrors but when i take them off nothing changes

Lube the cables, springs do not really have a lot of tension on them, if they did lose tension they would look deformed at rest, good luck

Valves have oil/dirt on them....?

I assume you are looking down the throttle body at the back side of the valves..?

A coupla things -

1. If you want clean internal parts, don't use a K&N filter.

2. Even with the stock filter, I've found that a heavy coat of grease (I use white brake grease) all the way around to FULLY seal the air cleaner element to the air box.

I found one day that there was a fine dust in the air box.."under" the filter..!

So I tried the grease thing for a coupla weeks back and forth to work.
All is well, no fine dust anywhere. Crap airbox OR filter design, maybe a little a both..!?

I also use a fuel injector cleaner every oil change to help keep things clean.
I split the Lucas F.I. cleaner up into four sections and use it four tank fulls (every day for me!).
I've used the Lucas stuff for many years on cars and bikes, works well.

Hope that helps some.

Mike
