Throttle Tension

Dumb question, but i can;t see the answer in the book.

I changed grips and now have much more throttle slack than I like. Anyone know how to take that slack out?

There are two nuts with lock rings on the cables coming out of the bottom of the throttle housing. If you back the lock rings off you should be able to take up the slack. Make sure you turn the bars from lock to lock with the engine running to make sure there is still enough slack that it does not effect the throttle position.

..er..that's embarrassing. I didn't notice those last time. i got the rizoma grips and the cable fits loose in the adaptor ring. i just assumed it was something to do with that.

Next Question: Any way we can delete these posts from the public record?

HA,ha its not that big a deal. im sure a mod could remove it but I would not worry about it and it could help someone else down the road with the same problem.
