Looks nice [up] Did you try to install bearings? I am not sure that it is good idea to cover by paint contact surfaces under sprocket, braking disc and bearings.

I've payed by Pay Pall Email Payments, Charlie charged me using my Email, and then I payed by my debit card. My rim should be here in a few days.

It looks like "KOSMAN" does not exist anymore, now it is "SK Danger Wheels". I hope it does not mean that my wheel is dangerous

Purchase from SK Danger Wheels $595.00 USD
Shipping and handling: $39.36 USD
Total: $634.36 USD

I've got my rim today! :)

A little bit of unboxing:

It looks like it fits perfect

Here are some parts from Free Spirit 520 chain conversion kit for Buell I've bought here

The rear sprocket. I think I will not use it, I do not want to use spacer for the sprocket, I want to order sprocket with offset:

Here are Idler and unidentified part from Free Spirit 520 chain conversion kit. Does anyone know where it should be mounted?

This is the EK Chain 520 MVXZ Quadra X-Ring Chain 120 Links Metallic Blue 801 520MVXZ-120 MET BLU I've bought here . The color match my Buell color.

These are the bearings I am going to install. SKF 6006-2RS1/C3HT . I hope HT (high temperature) bearings will work.

A little bit comparing:

The work is really good

The next step is I am going to find a local painter here in Seattle who can sandblast and powdercoat my rim to "hero blue" color. As I understand I need to cover by tape welding lines, contact surfaces and all holes before sandblasting.

TPEHAK that looks good [up] Total for my wheel was $725 with the powedercoating and polished lip shipped
and I got my wheel today :p

Last Friday I've gave my rim to the local powder-coating shop. The "Hero Blue" color looks almost the same like "Dazzling Blue PPB-4329" powder coat. There will be two coats: 1st is Dazzling Blue and 2nd is Chrome. So in 1-2 weeks I'll get my rim back.

While I am again waiting my rim I decided to create the CAD models and drawings for all spacers and custom sprockets and for precision calculating all offsets. Today I've took all necessary sizes of the stock parts and began the work:

Here are the reference geometry of the stock parts I've created for today:

Now I need to create my Free Spirit Idler model which I am going to install. Once I've got my rim back I will install the bearing and the tire, then inflate it, take actual sizes and create reference model for the new wheel. And only after this I can place all other new parts and create drawings for a machine-shop.

I can't find appropriate front sprocket for 520 chain, so am going to take Harley Davidson sprocket for 530 chain with particular offset and drop it to a machine-shop to grind down to 520 chain size.

For the rear sprocket with offset I am going to create drawing too and drop it maybe to these guys.

CAD models for the rear sprocket, the front sprocket and parts for modification the Free Spirit idler are ready. I am still waiting my rim from the powder coat shop. It looks like "Dazzling Blue" color is unavailable from the manufacturer, I hope they will find something close enough to this color.

so... are you going to cut into your swing arm for hte belt to fit? or are you going to widen the whole swing arm to accomodate the belt?

i have seen the swing arm with a belt groove cut in it. it didnt look very structural. otherwise there isnt room for both a 240 tyre and a belt.

I am going to add 1" to the belt side of the swingarm
I just waiting on cooler weather before start
The rear is spacer is in the making
