Tire sealant????

My front tire has a slow leak.
I’ve removed the tire from the rim and can’t find any punctures.
I’ve cleaned the rim to insure bead area is good and clean.
I’ve used soapy water around the bead area to look for leaks and couldn’t find any.
I can’t remwber checking the valve stems but I will say, 11 years and I’ve NEVER changed them.

I was thinking of trying to use some kind of sealant on the tire bead area but now as I’m posting this I’m thinking replacing the valve stem might be the ticket.

What do you Buell brainiacs think?

AND just a side note.
I have a brand new set of tires waiting to be levered on.

I would put about 50 psi in , then put the wheel in a tub of water and find the leak then deal with it or just put the new shoes on. Dont sweat the little sh*t.

Front tire is still good for at least another season.
Only reason I’m thinking of what might be the issue besides the tire itself

Lately I had a weird thing happen that may relate.

I just put tires on and they started to leak without any sign of bubbling anywhere! And even stranger, would sit and hold pressure ok sometimes, but would go flat very fast when riding:hororr:

After lots of cussing... the new inner valve stems I installed (they had the filter thing for the balancing beads) would only leak when they were spinning! WTF? and leak fast!

My solution was the regular style inner valve stems and nice metal caps on tight with o-rings in them.

Carlos, tire pressure and keeping that pressure is probably more important to me more than anyone on here being that I spend most of my time on the track. I only use Moto D 90° aluminum valve stems religiously on my track and street bikes. They have never failed me once. Super easy to check pressure between sessions and super easy to air up due to the 90° design. Peace, love, and hair grease!

Great idea on the 90 degree valve stems.
What size are the Buell valve stems?
Ive found some 8mm and 11mm sizes

Btw DO NOT buy cheap Chinese knock offs. Buy Moto D only. If ya want Ill post close up pics of Chinese trash side by side with the Moto D's. I already learned the hard way, don't make the same mistake I did a long time ago just to save a few bucks. Cost more in the long run

I have the exact same problem on the Ully ever since I bought it, 2- 3 pounds a day, whether I ride or not, I have not been able to find out why the front tire leaks, real pain in the butt ! I'm not throwing out perfectly good tires so I live with it, let me know if you find anything.

P.S. I just thought of something, what brand tire is yours ?

Apparently, there must be a fitment problem on the front rim.

P.S. I already tried Ride-On, no effect at all.
