We don't have to beat this to death... I've read a lot of reviews and posts. My tires look like they have some life left in them, but they definitely have some mileage and they don't feel as sticky as I think they should. I will probably replace them soon. The bike actually has Diablo's on it now - the front says "Corsa III" but the back just says "Corsa" so I don't think the back is actually a Corsa III. It hardly ever rains here, so except for riding through runoff water from sprinklers, I don't do any wet weather riding. I won't be doing an track days, either, but I will probably ride a few mountain roads. I am much more concerned about stickiness and cornering grip than tire life. So, is there any reason to pick something else over the Diablo Corsa III's? I just want to make sure I make a good choice. Thanks!

I have heard a lot of complaints about the Corsa's not heating up and aren't sticky at all. I would try the Michelin Ct 2. That is just my opinion.

OK - that's what I wanted to know - a little feedback from others who have been there, done that. Thanks, I am going to check out reviews on those Michelins.

My friend had them on his SV1000 and hated them on the dragon. He said as soon as he gets home he is putting something else on when they are new tires.

The Diablo's?

I ran through two sets of the Corsa III's and now I've just finshed my firs rear on the pilot power ct 2. I like the pp's but the I feel way more confident on the corsa III's. I've managed to have no chicken strips on both tires from just strictly street riding and never felt like I was losing traction. Just from a feel standpoint the corsa's are better. Since I live in Houston and most of my riding now is strsight highways, I'm sticking with the pp's for better mileage.

Dunlop Sportmax Q2. They have multiple compound zones for longer life and phenomenal grip through the corners.

Had corsa 3 on my rear last year put 4500 miles on it and switched to angels my chicken strips are larger now but i dont feal any slower or less confident with the angels im gonna see how many miles i can get outa the angel and if its close i will prolly go back to the corsa or try pp

Caution: with these tires, there is a little bit and then there is nothing. Don't treat them like regular tires.

My answer: for fun, Conti Road Attacks, for distance, Michelin Pilot 2.

You mean the Michelin Pilot Road 2?

I'm due for tires, I've flat spotted my Diablos pretty good (I ride like a puss) so I keep going between getting the Pilot Road 2s and the Pilot Power 2CTs.

The Power 2CTs seem better suited to the XB, but I spend more time on my bike commuting than I do weekend riding, so I want something that will last.

If anyone has ridden on either, I'd love to hear reviews. I'm personally not thrilled with the Diablos. (Not so much the wear, but the wear vs grip)

Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa Tire - Just put a set on my CR before I went to the Dragon this year,Never had a better tire felt great never felt uneasy.Good Luck !

I have the diablo's right now and they don't heat up like some others out there I've heard good things about the super corsas and the bt016 or the bt015 both have a lower heat range then the diablo's and still have the multi compound designs. If you're doing more spirited riding in the mountains I would look for one of those two over the diablo's.

Personal experience went riding with d_Adams, jrage and deans friend Kenny all three of there tires were at a good temp when we stop after pushing pretty hard and my diablo's where just getting warm. They would be okay if you're pushing like Rossi or Haden but not to good for must of us normal people.

I ended up getting the Pilot Power 2CT's. I got them from motorcycle superstore for about $250 total. Maybe not the best price but I like the company and the shipping is always fast. Now I need to get them installed. The Corsa's that are on the bike now are near the end of their life but they're not terrible. Turns out they were both about 8-10 lbs too low. I filled them to the recommended pressure (whatever it is .... I forgot) and it made a pretty big difference in the handling - who knew? They're still getting replaced soon though. I can't wait to see what the bike feels like with good rubber on it!

Metzeler race tec K3... front and rear. German engineering and quality with the best wet grip u can get
