Looking for the best price on a set of 120/70/17 and 180/55/17 Bridgestone S-20's. Lowest I've found so far is $250 shipped. Anybody found anything better?

I gotta do it this year if I'm going to continue to ride/test on the xb, damn near crashed yesterday when the front end washed out on damp pavement. Guess I got lucky that time, but I don't intend to end up looking like wolfo68 anytime soon.

I just bought a pair of Shinko Verge 120/70/17 front, 200/50/17 rear, both tires $210 incl shipping from Pinwall Cycle Parts off eBay. Delivered to my door in about 3days. Great tires.

I just had a S20 put on my front and have zero complaints about it - now I don't really push my XB to the limits and try to avoid rain, but for the price it's tough to beat. It's also gotten some really good reviews as far as dry performance goes - a pretty good weekend track tire/daily rider.

I just got a whole set of the 016's for 165$ shipped. I know how to work the system.

^^^Bridgestone Battleax. I have run them for several years and like them.

C'Mon Loki, tell us how you are working it.

Well cyclegear has them on combo sell for 199 both tires. Revzilla price matches, but cyclegear also gives 10% (wouldnt have on this order) and i told rev that the total would be 179 shipped. I also had 10 teamcash there and was thinking i would get them 169, but no the guy told me they would price match to 184 with my 10$ teamcash and claiming tax. I said i dont remember ever being charged tax on cyclegears website and they should price match counting in the money i have earned.

Revzilla being as awesome are they are complied and went further, the guy said ok on 179, plus my 10- 169, then through in another discount to being it to 165 shipped. ON TOP OF THAT he gave me another 10$ teamcash to use on the order!

So, with just about anything in life if you get two companies competing for your business (esp dealerships!) you will win every time. :D

Don't believe me?

but cyclegear also gives 10%

Military discount, they would have given it to you on the spot. There's $20 off the list, so $180.

I'm also looking for the newer version tire, the S20, not the 016. I've been running the 016's for 3+ years and they're great tires, I want to try the next generation.

SO, to make sure I get this right, I call revzilla and tell them I can get the S20 from jakewilson for $223 shipped. They pricematch it. Maybe throw me a discount or burn some teamcash if I have any left. It's been over a year since I bought anything there but the last time was maybe $500 of electric gear.

Just put them in the cart, got this for the S20's. Estimated Total $278.68

Yes, if anything they will price match for you and your teamzilla cash never expires so if you have any then you can use it. Might help to ask if you could use the 10 you would get form the purchase. And cyclegear wouldn't have given me the discount since it was on a coupon. They are stifflers about that stuff.

I bought the 016s cause of the price and all the reviews ive read or watched say they are the best mid range tire. Hoping to see how they are on the track and how a stock 180 feels compared to my 200 i have on my bike now.

If you don't use tire warmers, give it several laps before you really get into it, they do need to heat up some. I only had one slide on mine and it was early in a session before the tires got warmed. Might have been on the first full lap, the rear stepped out some on me.

BT-016 are fantastic tires they were stock on my GSXR1000, and performed fantastic in wet and dry conditions (high silica content). They went away fairly quickly at track speeds, but that was on the third session and a high horsepower bike (my '05 was an animal...). I'd buy them in a heart beat for my Buell, and bought them when I had to replace tires on my STT...

If you havent bought tires yet motorcycle superstore has sent me this coupon code to get 5% off bridgestone tires. M71-BRIDG5 Plus they price match also.
